What is happening in the property market?
TwentyCi’s latest Market Update for June 2026 provides an interesting snapshot of the current property market.
The data shows that:
- Property supply is at a 10-year high, up 2.7% year on year.
- Sales agreed are down 4.1% compared with 2025, although they remain ahead of 2023 and 2024.
- The average time to sell has edged up to 77 days.
- Average time to exchange remains at 4.3 months.
- Fall-through rates continue to improve, down 1.0 percentage points year on year.
For buyers and sellers, these figures highlight a market that continues to change. There may be more choice for buyers, but transactions can still take time to progress from an agreed sale through to exchange and completion.
