About Dougie Mac
Dougie Mac is an incredible local charity that provides care to families facing a life-limiting illness. The work they do makes such a difference, and we’re proud to stand alongside them.
The charity, formally known as Douglas Macmillan Hospice, has been serving the North Staffordshire community since 1973, offering specialist care for over 3,500 local people annually. The hospice supports patients with cancer and non-cancer conditions, including advanced heart failure, dementia, motor neurone disease, and incurable lung diseases, while also providing holistic support for families and carers
Business Club
By joining the Dougie Mac Business Club, we’re able to support them with a monthly donation of £50, a small way we can help them continue their vital work.
We’re excited to be part of this amazing community of businesses coming together to make a positive impact.
From this, in June 2026 we attended their Business Partnership Awards, where we received three recognitions, including a Commendation for the Will Writing Champion Award!
We have also been able to visit Dougie Mac on different occasions because of this membership, such as in December 2025 for a Christmas Bap evening, where a speaker described their future plans to help those who suffer from Dementia. There are many events where we have learnt more and more about the hospice service, and we hope to continue to learn as time goes on.
Dougie Mac's Make a Will Month
We also take part in Dougie Mac’s “Make a Will” months, which usually happen twice a year in May and October.
During these months, we waive our usual fee for a simple Will when a gift is left to Dougie Mac. It’s a meaningful way for people to support the charity’s incredible work while also ensuring their loved ones are taken care of.

Dougie Mac's Donation Appeal
When we saw Dougie Mac put out an appeal for donations for their stores, we knew we could help! Our amazing staff came together and gathered around 15 bags of clothing, which were collected by the lovely team at Dougie Mac.
We believe that every little bit helps and donating our pre-loved clothes to raise funds for Dougie Mac is a simple but powerful way to support the incredible work they do.

Whether through our ongoing business partnership with Dougie Mac, participating in “Make a Will” months, or donating pre-loved items, we’re committed to making a real difference.
